Senior Broadcaster/Producer - DOD Experience

Position Summary:
Blueprint Creative Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Broadcaster/Producer to lead video and audio production in support of the DOD's Corporate Communications initiatives. This role requires broadcast-industry-level expertise in multimedia production, technical precision, and creative storytelling. The ideal candidate brings both strategic vision and hands-on technical experience to deliver mission-critical audiovisual products across multiple mediums.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Direction
Plan, capture, and produce 2- to 90-minute video productions across formats including documentaries, short-form social media, sizzle reels, and human-interest features.
Lead the entire production lifecycle: pre-production planning, storyboarding, scripting, filming, editing, post-production, and final delivery.
- Provide direction and creative input to conceptualize compelling narratives that reflect Navy priorities and leadership intent.
Filming & Technical Execution
- Operate Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to film at national broadcast-quality using professional lighting setups, three-point lighting systems, reflectors, and advanced cinematographic techniques.
- Provide full A/V setup and support for command events, ensuring professional-level staging and real-time technical assistance as required by the communications director
Editing & Post-Production
Use Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) to deliver cinema-grade content with dynamic sequencing, graphic overlays, motion design, and effects.
Produce professional intros/outros, transitions, lower-thirds, and animated elements with masking, lighting, shading, and compositing techniques.
Provide multiple sequencing options to support Government editor workflows and respond to creative guidance.
Ensure all deliverables are fully compliant with Section 508 accessibility standards.
10+ years of experience in multimedia production OR 5+ years with a degree in Film, Communications, Media Studies, or related field.
Demonstrated ability to deliver national broadcast-level video production for federal clients or enterprise-scale organizations.
Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Deep understanding of visual storytelling, framing, lighting, and cinematic shot design.
Familiarity with Section 508 compliance and accessibility integration in multimedia content.
Strong organizational skills with experience in tracking, logging, and metadata documentation.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and respond to fast-evolving creative direction.
